How to view encrypted disks and files in WinXP

Many WinXP system users set the user access disk permissions, but later the user was accidentally deleted due to some misuse, which directly caused the inability to view the encrypted disk and files, even if you are System administrators can't view it. I believe that everyone is very troubled. I have to use the method of reinstalling the system. In fact, there are other ways to solve it.

If you happen to encounter this problem, you must be logged in as Administrator, and then Folder Options in the & ldquo; View & rdquo; tab & ldquo; Advanced Settings & rdquo; list window is closed “Use the simple file sharing” checkbox.

Then return to the corresponding folder or disk partition, select the "Properties" command in the associated menu, switch to the "Security" tab, you can see that there is no access allowed. Users, click the “Advanced” button to enter the advanced settings interface. Switch to the "Owners" tab, if there is a list of your users, select it, and select the "Replace subcontainer and object owner" checkbox under the interface, click “ Apply ”Add settings.

At this point you can see your name in the "Permissions" tab. Of course, if you are allowed to add new access users in the "Permissions" tab, you can ignore the above.

Click the “OK” button to return, and you can now access the original encrypted folder, or disk.

In addition, if you see a long "S-1-5-21-xxxxx" in the "Pemissions" tab, all of them are digital users, which may be previously created. Username, but it is corrupted, select the user, clear the interface "Inherit from part of permission entries that apply to child objects. Inculde these with entries authenticate defined here (inherited from the parent can be applied to the child object Permissions items, including those items that are explicitly defined here) & rdquo; checkboxes. Select the “Copy” command in the associated interface, and then delete this useless user.

Although WinXP provides users with higher security performance, they can't even crack the user itself. Therefore, when setting the user access disk permissions, it is best to perform a system backup to prevent the problem that the encrypted disk and files cannot be viewed after the system account is deleted by mistake.
