In Windows Vista, the Remote Desktop feature is turned off in the default installation, so if you need to operate Windows Vista from another PC at work, you need to change the settings to open the Remote Desktop feature.
The corresponding settings are not complicated. You can open the management by right-clicking “Control Panel” => “System & Maintenance" => “System" or right click on the desktop & computer"computer” icon interface, select & ldquo in the task list on the right; remote setup & rdquo ;, brings up the appropriate settings page:


If you are running Windows Vista from another remote connection to this same client The system can use the bottommost "only allow computer connection with remote desktop with network level authentication" option, which provides greater security; if you want to connect to the system from a Windows 2000/XP client , you can only use “ allow computers running any version of remote desktop to connect, of course, this will bring some risks.
It should be noted that to enable remote desktop, you must ensure that the computer does not go to sleep when it is idle, otherwise the remote connection will fail. After the setting is completed, you can further set the user to allow remote connection —— non-administrator group, any user in the administrator group will automatically have remote connection permission.
As for the firewall, you don't have to make any settings manually. Windows Vista will automatically add the rules to the firewall after enabling Remote Desktop.
