Solve XP shutdown failure

I recently installed the Ghost version of the XP system. When the screen is turned off, the screen prompts “You can safely shut down” and then it will not move. Only when the power switch is pressed can the system be turned off. I have set up the advanced power management support in the system properties. It seems that the cause of the shutdown failure is likely to be that the power management does not support the system. Click “Start →Set →Control Panel →Power Options&rdquo ;, in the pop-up window, found that there is no "advanced power support" option (see Figure 1), after careful analysis found that to re-install the power management mode has the following two simple solutions:

Figure 1

Method 1: Open “Device Manager", select “computer", if your computer is displayed as a Standard PC below, then basically find the problem, right click on it Select “Update Driver", in the subsequent dialog box, select “ Install from the list specified location, and then select “ Do not search, I have to choose the driver to install, ”, then select “ Select the power type of your computer in the list, and follow the prompts to install it. If it still doesn't work, you can download the “Power Mode Modification” software (Figure 2) and select the fourth item “ACPI Multiprocessor PC”. The system will automatically install the corresponding driver and restart it.

Method 2: Run input box & ldquo; after rebooting; rundll32.exe setupapi, InstallHinfSection ACPIPIC_UP_HAL 131% windir% \\ inf \\ hal.inf & rdquo. Method 1 is recommended here because it provides an extremely rich set of options and can be re-switched to Standard PC mode if the system is unstable due to modifications.
