Independent of hardware, build Windows XP Universal Clone

Windows 2000 and Windows XP are probably the most widely used operating systems, but the instability and ease of use of Windows systems coexist. Our Windows has to be reinstalled every once in a while. It's a good idea to clone it through Ghost and then restore it back, but once the hardware of the machine changes, we will use the original cloned content to restore to the new computer, the computer will often have problems. In fact, Microsoft has already prepared a tool for cloning the system for us. You can make a versatile clone XP as long as you do it. 1. Prepare the Windows 98 boot floppy disk Select "Start" → "Run" in Windows 98, enter the Command command and switch to the DOS prompt, then enter the C:\\Windows\\Command directory and enter the Bootdisk.bat command to generate Windows 98. Start the floppy disk. 2. Prepare for cloning XP Before cloning XP, use the latest anti-virus software to kill and delete temporary files, and at the same time give the system weight loss (how to lose weight in Windows XP, please refer to the relevant content of this journal). Note that our temporary files are placed in the C:\\Documents and Settings\\username\\Local Settings\\Temp folder. If you are a system administrator, the temporary folder is placed in C:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\Local Settings. Under the \\Temp folder, you can enter and delete the files. Then run the disk defragmenter to organize the system to run in the most fluid state. Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive, open the SUPPORT\\TOOLS folder, double-click the DEPLOY.CAB file, extract all the files to a folder (such as C:\\Sysprep), and double-click the sysprep.exe file. And press the "OK" button to accept the warning message. And select the check boxes in front of the "PNP", "MiniSetup" and "Advance activated" items in the window of Figure 1. Press the "Reclose" button and the machine will automatically close.
3. Create XP image file Insert the floppy disk into the machine, restart the computer, press the Del key to enter the BIOS setup program, use the up and down cursor keys to select the "BIOS FEATURES SETUP" item, enter the "BiOS FEATURES SETUP" setting item, use Use the up and down cursor keys to select the “Boot Sequence” item, press the PageDown and PageUp keys to set to A, and C to start from the A drive (see Figure 2).

After booting the system with Windows 98 floppy disk, run the Ghost.exe program on the machine and select Local→Partition→To Image command (as shown in Figure 3) to select the first area of the first hard disk. That is the partition where we installed Windows. After selecting it, press the OK button to display the Save Clone File dialog box. We set the file name to xpghost.gho. After clicking the Open button, Ghost can put the contents of the Windows XP partition. Clone into the Ghost file.

4. Fix the boot disk
