Enjoy the speed of madness Win XP startup speed optimization

        Q: My computer starts slower than others, and the slow startup speed of Windows XP is a headache. How to make Windows XP boot speed increase greatly?

A: Relatively speaking, Windows XP is the fastest startup of all Microsoft operating systems, because the Windows XP kernel can process multiple initialization requests in parallel and can pre-read them into memory. There is no need to wait; at the same time, the system automatically stops the request that is not needed, and can automatically modify the reading order when there is a new request, so the startup speed is faster.

In order to better manage system startup performance, Microsoft introduced a special system startup tracking and optimization program: Bootvis.exe. The download address is: http://www.vipcn.com/SoftView/SoftVIEw_8641.Html
. Using this program, we can intuitively understand the system process at startup, speed up the system startup speed, and let Windows XP win at the starting line.

Unzip the downloaded file first, then run Bootvis.exe, and the interface shown in the figure appears. Let's first take a look at the system's boot process: select "Trace", "Next Boot" (or "Next Boot + Drivers Delays"), restart the computer according to the software requirements, and after rebooting into Windows XP system, Do not do anything, wait for the analysis results of the system. Then we select "Optimize System" in the dialog box that appears, and then restart the computer, so that the software automatically optimizes the system startup service based on the last analysis result.

The system optimized above has a significant increase in startup speed before optimization, and the required startup time can be reduced by about half.

In addition, we can optimize from the following aspects to further improve the system startup speed:

1. Modify BiOS settings

"Quick Power On Self Test" : Activate, speed up the motherboard self-test;

"Show Bootuo Logo": Disable, do not display the startup logo;

"Boot Up Floppy Seek": disable, do not detect the floppy drive, save startup time ;

"Boot Sequence": Start order, set to "C:".

2. Install the motherboard driver

This is often easy for users to ignore. In fact, after installing the operating system, we should install the motherboard driver, such as the Intel chipset. The inf" file and Intel's chipset acceleration software "Intel Application Accelerator". The effect of system optimization after installation is very obvious, not only the startup is accelerated, but also the performance of the whole system can be obviously optimized.

3. System finishing

Frequently clean up the "temporary files", "CookIEs" and "history" of the "Internet", which will not be described in detail here.

After this setting, enjoy the fun of computer speed.
