Quickly retrieve the Windows XP system language bar

that was inadvertently lost. By default, the Windows taskbar has an input method flag, which is called the input method icon in Windows 98 and is called the language bar in Windows XP. Sometimes this input method language bar will suddenly be lost. In Windows 98, you can restore this flag by typing Internat in "Start → Run". How to recover in Windows XP? Please see the following method:

1. Click "Start → Control Panel", find and double-click "Regional and Language Options", enter the "Language" tab, click the "Details" button, and then the "Text Service" In the Enter Language dialog box, go to the Settings tab, click the Language Bar button, and select the Show Language Bar on Desktop item (Figure 1). Or right click on the taskbar, select "Toolbar", find the "Language Bar", and hit the hook. If the "Language Bar" button is grayed out (when right clicking on the taskbar, you will not see the "Language Bar" item), proceed to step 2.

2. Go to the "Advanced" tab and uncheck the "Close Advanced Text Service" item (Figure 2). If you want to speed up system startup or reduce system resource consumption (handwriting recognition, speech recognition, and some additional features in advanced text services can affect computer performance), right click on the "keyboard" icon on the language bar of the taskbar. Click to select the "Settings" command, then check the above options.
