Reinstall Windows with ISO files

Although ISOEMU can boot the system from the ISO CD image, it brings great convenience to the maintenance system; but the so-called "gold is not enough, no one is perfect", because the ISOEMU must be used to place the startup configuration file and the ISO CD image. C partition, so in this case, it is impossible to install the system in the C partition, which is not in line with our habit of using a computer. So is there a way to install the system on the C partition using the ISO CD image under DOS
? Many of my friends' second-hand laptops don't have a floppy drive, and the CD-ROM drive can't boot from the flash drive. At this time, only the ISO file on the hard disk is used to reinstall the system...

Step 1: Download "< U>DOS
Virtual CD-ROM boot disk", download "Emulation Virtual Floppy Drive" from here.

Step 2: After decompressing the simulated virtual floppy drive.rar, run Vfloppy.exe and install the "simulated virtual floppy drive" to the D:\\BOOT directory.

Step 3: Use After WinRAR decompresses LOADISO.rar, it gets the file LOADISO.exe, and then decompresses LOADISO.exe with WinRAR to get LOADISO.IMA (don't worry about the error).

Step 4: Compress LOADISO.IMA into dudu.zip, overwrite the file with the same name in the D:\\BOOT directory, so that you can use the DOS
virtual CD-ROM boot disk when the system starts. Guided. Note: If a software like OneKey Recovery is installed on your system, it may not be able to boot properly.

Step 5: Restart the system. When the BiOS test is completed, press the ALT key to activate the boot program. Select “Start the emulation virtual floppy drive” and the boot menu appears (see figure). Enter the first item “Start ISO CD”. Mirror Installation Wizard, and then select the partition where the ISO file is located and the ISO file to load the ISO CD image. The drive letter is Z.

Step 6: At this point you can start the installation operation, take the Windows 2000 ISO CD image as an example, use the "cd i386" command to enter the I386 directory, run winnt.exe to start the system installation ( It is recommended to run Smartdrv.exe beforehand to speed up the installation).

Tips

After booting the system using the method in this article, the NTFS file system partition is not recognized, so the ISO file needs to be placed on the partition of the non-NTFS file system. In addition, the file name of the ISO CD image must follow the naming convention of 8.3, otherwise there will be an error that cannot be loaded.
