Slamming crazy Windows messenger ads

Many friends who use Windows NT/2000/XP and other operating systems have recently received an inexplicable and automatically pop-up "message service" window with a wide range of contents, including illegal advertisements, porn dating, reactionary remarks... and even Transfer work (Figure 1).

The reason for this is that the Windows NT/2000/XP operating system automatically starts its own Messenger service when it is turned on, and can receive and send pop-up messages to other computers, and this function is used. Malware exploits, sends spam to other computers on the Internet, and displays the content directly on the other computer's screen (so terrible). These malware can automatically search for an IP address segment and send messages to each of them. Some software even claims to be able to scan tens of thousands of IP addresses per hour and "reach hundreds of millions of computers worldwide." .

Since these malicious programs are sent using the Messenger service, we can prevent Windows from receiving messenger advertisements as long as we turn off the Messenger service. There are three methods:

a hand-ban

In Windows 2000, click "Start -> Settings -> Control Panel ->", and then double-click the "Administrative Tools -> Services." Open the service control program, find the "Messenger" item,

Double-click the item, click the "Stop" button (stop the service that has been started), and change the "Startup Type" to "Disabled" (Next Launch) After Windows, the service will no longer start automatically and cannot be activated by other programs unless you manually change it to "Automatic" or "Manual". Then click the "OK" button.
Second, the ban

in Msconfig If you feel the above manual operation is very troublesome, you can download a single System Configuration Utility MSconfig.exe (Download: http: //download. pchome.Net/system/treak/11873.Html
). It is stripped from Windows XP and can be used under Win2000.

Run the program, click the "Services" tab, find the "Messenger" item, cancel the previous tick mark (Figure 3), click "OK". Restart the computer and the Messenger service is no longer automatically run with the system.

Third, the 3721 Internet Assistant ban

but with MScongfig.exe is quite troublesome, the easiest way is to use the 3721 Internet Assistant. Visit the online assistant website assistant.3721.com (click "Yes" in the pop-up prompt dialog box to install the Internet Assistant), click the "Messenger Ad Intercept" link to enter the corresponding function page, as shown in Figure 3:

Simply click "Turn off Messenger" and "Enable Messenger" to set it up.

Tip: On the assistant.3721.com page, press and hold the "message ad blocking" link, drag and drop to the desktop, create a shortcut to the page. Double-click the shortcut to enter the page, which is very convenient.

Well, with the above three methods, I believe you will be successful sniper SMS messages from Windows Messenger of harassment.
