Windows XP's network neighborhoods have a lot of unsatisfactory places: slow access, no access to other hosts... In fact, these problems can be solved easily with simple settings.
Before you make sure you can ping each other.
1. Open the guest account.
2. Allow Guest users to access the machine: Open the Group Policy Editor, select "Computer Configuration → Windows Settings → Security Settings → Local Policies → User Rights Assignment", delete "Deny access to this computer from the network" "GUEST" account in the strategy.
3. Change the network access mode: Open the Group Policy Editor, select "Computer Configuration → Windows Settings → Security Settings → Local Policies → Security Options", double-click "Network Access: Local Account Sharing and Security Mode" "Strategy, change "only guest - local user since guest authentication" to "classic: local users authenticate with their own identity."
4. Undo empty password restriction: Disable the "Account: Local account with blank password only allows console login" policy in the system "Security Options".
5. Network neighbors can't see the computer: Open "Control Panel→Performance and Maintenance→Administrative Tools→Services" and start the "Computer Browser" service inside.
6.Add sharing file permission options: Open "My Computer→Tools→Folder Properties→View→Advanced Settings", and then cancel the selection in front of "Simple File Sharing (Recommended)". The "Mickey Mouse" item also cancels it.
7. Network neighbors do not respond or respond slowly. Turn off WinXP's Task Scheduler. Go to Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services and open the Task Scheduler Properties dialog box to stop the Service, then set the startup type to "manual".
Turn off the automatically searched network folders and printers. Go to "My Network Places/Files/Folders Options" and click on the last item to close the automatic search for network folders and printers.
