I have encountered many users complaining that computers with Windows XP installed on the LAN cannot access each other with computers with Windows 98 installed. Computers with Windows XP and computers with Windows XP cannot communicate with each other. I have seen many high-level tricks provided by experts. The following four points can be summarized: one is to open the GUEST account; the other is to install the NetBEUI protocol; the third is to check whether the local security policy setting disables the GUEST account; the fourth is to set the shared folder. However, even if these four points are done, sometimes the problem of mutual access to Windows XP cannot be solved.
