Win XP Home Edition can also be installed IIS

  

Prepare beforehand

1, Windows XP HomeEdit Chinese version CD (copy can also be used on the hard disk)
2, Windows 2000 Advanced Server CD (preferably also Chinese version) )
3, the default your XP is installed under C: \\ WINDOWS

Start to work

(If you are afraid of correction, first put C: \\ WINDOWS \\ INF \\ SYSOC. INF to make a backup)

Open C:\\WINDOWS\\INF\\SYSOC.INF with Notepad and find a line under [COMPONENTS]:

iis=iis.dll,OcEntry,iis .inf,hide,7

Then change it to

iis=iis2.dll,OcEntry,iis2.inf,,7

Save.

Then copy the two files IIS.DL_ and IIS.IN_ from the Windows 2000 Advanced Server CD to a temporary directory (for example, C:\\AAA), and then at the command prompt will be current Directory to C:\\AAA, execute

EXPAND IIS.DL_ IIS2.DLL
EXPAND IIS.IN_ IIS2.INF

Unpack IIS2.DLL and IIS2.INF two files Copy IIS2.INF to the C:\\WINDOWS\\INF directory and copy IIS2.DLL to the C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\SETUP directory.

Now press "Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components", then you can be excited to find out that IIS has appeared!!!

The process is similar to the XP version of XP installed in the PRO version. You will be asked to select the location of the Windows 2000 Advanced Server CD and the Windows XP HomeEdit CD and enter the specified directory to install it.

After the installation is complete, you can't use it directly. You need to make some settings for IIS:

Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Internet Service Manager

Then click Right click on the "Default WEB Site", go to the "Directory Security" tab, click the "Edit" button of "Anonymous Access and Authentication Control", and then pop up the new window of anonymous method, and then click "Edit" in "Anonymous Access". "Button, "Allow IIS to control passwords" is completely removed, and then all the way to return.
