Faster Add security mode to the boot menu

When there is a problem with the computer, we are used to entering safe mode for troubleshooting. However, to enter safe mode, you must press F8 at startup and then select it in the open boot mode menu. In fact, in Windows XP, we can add the safe mode startup menu to the multi-boot menu through the multi-system boot menu mode.

Open the Boot.ini file in the root directory of the C drive. This file is a hidden system file. If you don't see it, you need to open the folder options window and hide it in the “View” tab. The protected operating system file & rdquo; item is canceled, and the “display all files and folders ” command is selected. Or directly enter "ld:; C:boot.ini" in the address bar of the browser (without the outside quotes) and press Enter to open the same.

After opening the file, “multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin under "Operating Systems" /fastdetect” The content is on another line, copy and paste a copy, and then change the contents of the = back quotation mark to "Windows XP security mode", the other content remains unchanged, and the modified file is saved.

Finally open the "Run" window, type "msconfig", press "Enter" and then "System Configuration Utility", switch to the "BOOT.INI" label, select us in the content area. The line that has just been modified, at the same time in the "Startup Options" area, select the "“/SAFEBOOT(F)” item, and modify the timeout of "timeout" as needed, the default is 30 seconds, that is, start The menu can be left for 30 seconds for the user to select.

After this modification, two boot menus will be displayed during system startup. Select "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" to start normally, and select " Windows XP Security Mode" to enter Safe mode.
